This project improves how we inform users about updates, ensuring clarity, engagement, and a seamless experience.

Whenever the app released an update, users were left confused. They had no idea what had changed or what was new. Updates rolled out silently, leaving users unaware of improvements or exciting features.

"What's in this update? Is there anything useful? Where's the guide?"

How do we make updates clear and easy to understand so users can quickly learn about and use new features?

Provide update notifications that are clear and engaging.

Create interactive guides that help users get started with new features effortlessly.

Forced updates gave no details on what changed.

Optional updates were vague and often ignored.

 provides detailed release notes for full transparency.

 uses bottom sheets for subtle but effective updates.

 became our go-to source for UI/UX inspiration.

Conducted surveys and user interviews. The results?

80% of users ignored update notifications. 60% didn’t realize new features existed until they accidentally stumbled upon them.

The main problem: Users don’t know - don’t care - don’t use!

"How do we make update notifications and feature guides impossible to miss?"

Figma was our playground, where we built:

 → Grab attention instantly upon app launch.

 → Provide information seamlessly without being intrusive.

 → Step-by-step guidance for complex features.

User favorite? Bottom Sheets, compact, non-intrusive, yet informative.

Flow 1: Notifications for new app updates.

If yes: show "What's new" screen (if available), then end.

The app checks if the current version is the latest.

If no update is configured: allow the user to continue using the app, then end.

If update is configured: check if it is a force update.

User must update → redirect to app store.

Show optional update prompt (bottom sheet).

User can choose:
a) Update → go to app store → return to app → end.
b) Dismiss → continue using current version → end.

Flow 2: Feature introduction guides directly within the app.

If yes: show version info or promotion → proceed.

System displays a promotional or interactive message.

If no (user dismisses or taps outside the CTA area):

Determine which introduction content to show.

System records interaction → removes “NEW” badge → end.

 → Provides quick tips without overwhelming users.

 → Guides users through features step by step.

While exact numbers are private, feedback was overwhelmingly positive:

"This is so much clearer! Now I actually know what’s new!"

—So updates need to be short and engaging.
